We owe a huge thank you to all of those who supported our official grand opening in the month of February. It was a wonderful gathering and celebration hosted at our new storefront in Pleasantville, New York full of laughter, delicious snacks, inspiring artists, and wonderful friends. Though that was our first gathering at the store, it will not be the last. We are looking forward to hosting more gatherings and workshops to consistently encourage learning and a peaceful lifestyle that flows with nature and culture. We were just able to host our first workshop on March 3rd with Junko Aratani who taught Moss Ball Making and will host a matcha tea tasting event on the 24th of March with tea master Kazuko Komatsu. All are welcome to join us in enjoying the art of tea and sharing high quality organic matcha together!
All of the exciting happenings at the store haven’t been our only buzz at the top of 2018. te+te was recently featured in New York Magazine’s “The Strategist” section in an article titled, “What’s the Next Status Hand Wash (That isn’t Aesop)?” by Lauren Levy. In it she lists and reviews the best up and coming hand soaps. In her section on te+te she says, “If there’s anything we can know for sure, it’s that Hinoki is the fragrance of the future…With a little more name recognition, this is primed to take over.” and we can’t help but agree with her.
To more buzz, to more excitement, and to more learning,
