Bibiana Huang Matheis at the store!
The new surprises at our home store location in Pleasantville are endless, especially now that the holiday season is officially upon us.
The new pieces that we are welcoming this week come from Bibiana Huang Matheis, a local photographer and fellow appreciator of the small delights to be found in our natural environment. Bibiana is both an artist and curator with incredible accomplishments such as having been named one of the Top 50 Outstanding Artists in Westchester County, honored as the recipient of the Duchess County Executive Arts Award, and has work on display at The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
The photographs that will be at te+te are each carefully paired with haikus written by Frank Matheis to create complete pieces that would bring a sense of calm to any space. In her artist statement she shares, “I tried to see nature’s beauty in its simple harmony and in unassuming subjects.” This harmony definitely translates in her work and we can’t wait for you to come check it out!
